Do You See

Do You See
Written by: More Vang

Do you see?
The pain that lies in her eyes
She’s good at holding it in
and no, she won’t cry

Do you See?
The madness that crosses her gaze
Her anger has set her ablaze
and no, she won’t shout

Do you see?
The fear that closes her eyes
“What is it? You’ll ask
And no, she won’t answer.

Do you see?
The smile she wears from day to day
It is but a disquise
And no, she won’t lie.

Do you see?
The hope that she’s holding onto
It’s what keeps her going
And no, she won’t let go.

Do you see?
The love that still lies within her
She’s trying to bury it deep
And no, she won’t stop.
